Hajipur/Patna: Bihar Energy Secretary and Chairman-cum-Managing Director of Bihar State Power Holding Company Limited (BSPHCL) Ajay Yadav (IAS) inspected several power infrastructure projects and consumer service initiatives in Hajipur on Wednesday.
During his visit, Yadav reviewed the electricity and grid substations at Dighi, the under-construction grid substation at Mahua, rooftop solar installations under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana in Bidupur and a bill correction camp in the Hajipur Rural area.

Dighi, Mahua power infrastructure reviewed
At the Dighi electricity and grid substations, the Energy Secretary reviewed the power supply situation, functioning of the facilities and technical arrangements. Officials were directed to ensure uninterrupted and quality electricity supply to consumers.
Yadav also inspected the ongoing construction of the grid substation at Mahua. He reviewed the progress of the project and instructed officials to complete the work within the stipulated timeframe without compromising construction quality.
He stressed the need for regular monitoring of projects and directed officials to prevent unnecessary delays.
Focus on expanding rooftop solar adoption
In Bidupur block, Yadav inspected rooftop solar plants installed under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana and the ULA model.
He interacted with beneficiaries to understand the benefits they were receiving and examined the condition of the installed solar systems. Officials were instructed to increase awareness about rooftop solar and encourage more consumers to join the scheme.
Energy Secretary hears consumer complaints
Yadav also visited a bill correction camp organised under the Hajipur Rural Electricity Supply Sub-Division and directly heard complaints from consumers.
He reviewed issues related to bill corrections and directed officials to ensure their prompt and effective resolution. He emphasized that consumers should not face unnecessary inconvenience in resolving billing-related issues.
Review meeting with Samastipur and Vaishali officials
Following the field inspections, a review meeting was held with officials from the Electricity Supply Circle, Samastipur, and the Electricity Transmission Circle, Vaishali.

The meeting covered power supply and transmission arrangements, ongoing projects, consumer services and the progress of various government schemes.
The Energy Secretary directed officials to strengthen the power network, regularly monitor ongoing projects and ensure time-bound resolution of consumer complaints on priority.
