Patna: The ISKCON Patna temple witnessed large gatherings of devotees on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, as it celebrated its fourth annual Brahmotsava with a series of religious rituals and devotional programmes.
From early morning, long queues were seen inside the temple premises, with the atmosphere marked by kirtans, spiritual discourses and devotional narrations.
Rituals And Offerings
A Mahabhisheka (ceremonial bathing of the deity) was performed using Panchagavya, followed by the offering of 108 varieties of Mahabhoga. Temple authorities said the rituals were conducted in accordance with traditional practices.
Emphasis On Devotion
Addressing devotees, Adi Karta Das, co-chairman of the temple management committee, said that in the present age, chanting the holy names of the Lord remains a central path for spiritual upliftment.
Gokuleshwar Das, regional co-secretary, said the organisation continues its efforts to promote devotional practices and spiritual awareness.
Community Participation
The event was attended by several members of the temple community, including Raman Manohar Das and Venu Vinod Das, among others.
Officials said the celebrations concluded with the distribution of Mahaprasad among devotees.
Temple authorities described the event as part of their ongoing efforts to engage the community through spiritual and cultural activities.
