IAS Reshuffle: Bihar Government Transfers Anand Kishore to Finance, Abhay Kumar Singh to Urban Development

Patna: The Bihar government on Tuesday announced a significant reshuffle, assigning new responsibilities to several IAS officers. Among those affected by the changes are Anand Kishore, Chairman of the Bihar School Examination Board, and Abhay Kumar Singh, Secretary of the Tourism Department. The General Administration Department has issued the official notification outlining these new roles.

Anand Kishore, who currently serves as the Chairman of the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB), has been given the additional charge of Principal Secretary of the Finance Department. However, he has been relieved of his duties as Principal Secretary of the Urban Development and Housing Department and as Managing Director of Patna Metro Rail Corporation (PMRC). Despite these changes, Kishore will continue in his role as Chairman of the BSEB.

Abhay Kumar Singh, Secretary of the Tourism Department, has been appointed as the new Secretary of the Urban Development and Housing Department. In addition to this role, Singh will also assume responsibilities as Secretary of the Information and Technology Department, with additional charges of Beltron and PMRC.

Lokesh Kumar Singh, formerly Secretary of the Finance Department, has been transferred to the Rural Development Department as its new Secretary. He will also retain interim charge of the Tourism Department until further notice.

Other notable changes include Deepak Anand, Secretary (Expenditure), who has been assigned the additional role of Secretary of the Labour Research Department. Shirshat Kapil Ashok, Managing Director of BSRDC, has been given the additional charge of Managing Director of the Bihar Rajya Pul Nirman Nigam (BRPNN). Meanwhile, Nilesh Ramchandra Devre, Managing Director of North Bihar Power Distribution Company, has been assigned the additional responsibility of Special Secretary of the Cabinet Secretariat.
