Patna: The Bihar government’s newly launched “Brand Bihar” initiative moved into its public engagement phase on Thursday, just a day after its official announcement, with entrepreneur and YourStory founder Shradha Sharma inviting citizens to contribute ideas and participate in the campaign.
The initiative, launched under the direction of Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, is being coordinated under the leadership of Bihar Chief Secretary Pratyaya Amrit.
Pratyaya Amrit and Shardha Sharma met the chief minister in Patna to discuss the next phase of the programme, which aims to reshape Bihar’s public image and strengthen the state’s positioning as a destination for investment, innovation and entrepreneurship.
Public Invited To Participate In ‘Brand Bihar’
Following the meeting, Sharma shared photographs on social media and appealed to people to submit:
- Ideas
- Suggestions
- Strategic advice
- Participation proposals
for the initiative.
She also released a Google Form link through which individuals can actively engage with the “Brand Bihar” campaign and contribute to its outreach and development efforts.
In her social media post, Sharma described Bihar as “not merely a state” but “an emotion, identity, history and collective aspiration”.
She said contributing to the initiative was “a matter of honour and pride”.

Government Aims To Build Unified Bihar Narrative
Officials described “Brand Bihar” as a coordinated state-level branding and communication initiative intended to align publicity and outreach efforts across government departments.
According to the government, the programme seeks to:
- Strengthen Bihar’s public identity
- Improve perception of the state nationally and globally
- Promote Bihar as an investment-friendly destination
- Highlight development and governance initiatives
- Encourage entrepreneurship and innovation
- Generate employment opportunities within the state
The initiative also aims to showcase Bihar’s transformation through documented examples of development, infrastructure projects and institutional reforms carried out during the NDA government’s tenure.
Focus On Investment And Start-Up Ecosystem
Officials said the campaign would particularly focus on attracting investment across sectors including:
- Traditional industries
- Manufacturing
- Start-ups
- Innovation and technology
- Entrepreneurship ecosystems
The government hopes the initiative will help create stronger industrial and innovation hubs within Bihar while encouraging employment generation inside the state.

The quick rollout of outreach activities indicates the state government’s intention to move rapidly on the initiative after its formal launch on Wednesday.
Officials said the campaign envisions long-term collaboration between the government, entrepreneurs, institutions, startups, professionals and citizens to shape a new narrative around Bihar’s growth, investment potential and social transformation.
