Patna: Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) received 282 applications and resolved 58 grievances on the spot during the inaugural edition of its citywide Sahyog Shivir, an initiative aimed at improving public access to government services and accelerating grievance redressal.

The camps were organised simultaneously across all six municipal zones on Tuesday, bringing together civic officials, elected representatives and citizens seeking solutions to a range of municipal and administrative issues.

According to PMC officials, all applications received during the camps were registered on the newly launched Sahyog Portal, enabling applicants to track the status of their cases through a reference number.

Public Representatives Participate

The initiative witnessed the participation of several elected representatives, including Digha MLA Sanjeev Chaurasia, Kumhrar MLA Sanjay Kumar Gupta and Patna Sahib MLA Ratnesh Kumar, who visited camps in their respective constituencies.

The legislators interacted with residents, listened to grievances and directed officials to take prompt action on issues raised by the public.

Patna Mayor Sita Sahu and Deputy Mayor Reshmi Chandravanshi also visited all six camps, engaging directly with citizens and reviewing arrangements made for grievance redressal.

Several ward councillors, including representatives from Wards 1, 29, 36, 52 and 62, were also present to assist residents and coordinate with officials.

Officials ensured that every application was uploaded to the Sahyog Portal and that applicants received acknowledgement and tracking details immediately.

Senior officials from the municipal headquarters were also deployed to monitor the camps and facilitate coordination between departments.

Officials said the coordinated approach enabled the immediate resolution of more than 20% of the grievances received during the day.
