Patna: Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) received 282 applications and resolved 58 grievances on the spot during the inaugural edition of its citywide Sahyog Shivir, an initiative aimed at improving public access to government services and accelerating grievance redressal.
The camps were organised simultaneously across all six municipal zones on Tuesday, bringing together civic officials, elected representatives and citizens seeking solutions to a range of municipal and administrative issues.
According to PMC officials, all applications received during the camps were registered on the newly launched Sahyog Portal, enabling applicants to track the status of their cases through a reference number.
Public Representatives Participate
The initiative witnessed the participation of several elected representatives, including Digha MLA Sanjeev Chaurasia, Kumhrar MLA Sanjay Kumar Gupta and Patna Sahib MLA Ratnesh Kumar, who visited camps in their respective constituencies.
The legislators interacted with residents, listened to grievances and directed officials to take prompt action on issues raised by the public.
Patna Mayor Sita Sahu and Deputy Mayor Reshmi Chandravanshi also visited all six camps, engaging directly with citizens and reviewing arrangements made for grievance redressal.
Several ward councillors, including representatives from Wards 1, 29, 36, 52 and 62, were also present to assist residents and coordinate with officials.

Municipal Commissioner Reviews Arrangements
Municipal Commissioner Yashpal Meena inspected the camps across different zones and reviewed the grievance registration process.
Officials ensured that every application was uploaded to the Sahyog Portal and that applicants received acknowledgement and tracking details immediately.
Senior officials from the municipal headquarters were also deployed to monitor the camps and facilitate coordination between departments.

Multiple Departments Participate
In addition to municipal services, special counters were established for departments including Electricity and Revenue, allowing citizens to submit applications related to a wider range of government services.
Applications related to municipal functions were forwarded to the relevant PMC officials, while matters concerning other departments were transferred to the respective agencies for further action.
Officials said the coordinated approach enabled the immediate resolution of more than 20% of the grievances received during the day.

Zone-Wise Performance
According to data released by the corporation, the highest number of applications was received in Kankarbagh and the Nutan Rajdhani and Patliputra circles.
Applications Received And Resolved:
- Nutan Rajdhani Circle: 65 applications, 12 resolved
- Patliputra Circle: 65 applications, 14 resolved
- Bankipur Circle: 42 applications, 14 resolved
- Kankarbagh Circle: 71 applications, 11 resolved
- Azimabad Circle: 26 applications, 5 resolved
- Patna City Circle: 13 applications, 2 resolved
Citizens Welcome Initiative
Residents who received immediate assistance expressed satisfaction with the initiative and praised the corporation’s efforts to provide government services closer to neighbourhoods.
Medical camps were also organised in the Nutan Rajdhani and Kankarbagh circles, where residents were able to undergo health check-ups and seek medical consultations.
PMC officials said citizens can submit complaints, suggestions and feedback either through the Sahyog Portal or by visiting their respective zonal offices.

Camps To Be Held Twice A Month
The municipal corporation said the Sahyog Shivir initiative is intended to establish a direct channel of communication between citizens and the administration while ensuring transparent and time-bound resolution of public grievances.
Officials announced that Sahyog Shivir will now be organised on the first and third Tuesday of every month across the city’s municipal zones.
