Patna: The Bihar government has extended the ongoing Revenue Mega Campaign until June 21, 2026, allowing citizens additional time to seek resolution of land-related disputes and pending applications.

Revenue and Land Reforms Minister Dr. Dilip Kumar Jaiswal has issued directions for the extension and instructed officials to accelerate the disposal of pending land cases across the state.

According to the department, more than 46 lakh pending applications are currently being processed under the campaign. The government has directed officials to ensure complete scanning of all pending applications and upload them to the relevant online portals within the extended deadline.

Focus on Digitisation and Faster Disposal

The campaign aims to streamline the resolution of cases related to land record corrections, inheritance-based mutation, and partition-based mutation.

Officials say digitisation of records will help improve transparency and speed up the disposal process. The progress of the campaign is being monitored daily at the departmental level.

Significant Progress in One Week

During the special drive conducted from June 11 to June 17, authorities completed scanning of 95.73% of the total 46,25,957 pending applications.

The department also uploaded 60.27% of the applications to the designated online portals during the period.

Before the campaign began, only 81.91% of applications had been scanned and 26.43% uploaded online. Officials said the latest figures reflect substantial progress achieved within a week.

Districts Lead in Scanning Performance

Several districts have reported near-complete scanning of pending applications.

Khagaria recorded the highest scanning rate at 99.92%, followed by Darbhanga (99.72%), Purnia and Vaishali (99.67%), Rohtas (99.53%), and Samastipur and Supaul, where more than 99% of applications have been scanned.

Sheohar Tops Online Upload Rankings

In terms of uploading applications to online portals, Sheohar emerged as the top-performing district with 89.92% completion.

Other leading districts include Kishanganj (86.47%), Khagaria (84.83%), Darbhanga (80.61%), Purnia (77.82%), and Vaishali (75.17%).

Officials Directed to Meet Targets

Revenue and Land Reforms Department Secretary Jai Singh has instructed all district administrations and revenue officials to achieve the prescribed targets within the campaign period.

The directions have been issued to District Magistrates, Additional Collectors, Deputy Collectors of Land Reforms, Settlement Officers, Circle Officers, and Revenue Officers across Bihar.

The state government said the objective of the campaign is to ensure timely, transparent, and efficient resolution of land-related matters while improving access to digitised land records for citizens.
