Patna: Traffic movement in Phulwari Sharif will be regulated for three hours on Sunday, August 23, in view of the Shravani Puja Mahotsav at the Shri Devi Sthan Kali Temple. The traffic plan will remain in effect from 6 PM to 9 PM to manage the expected movement of devotees.
During this period, the movement of non-essential and non-local vehicles towards the festival venue through Anisabad Roundabout, Phulwari Sharif, AIIMS Roundabout and Khagaul will be restricted.
Patna-Bihta Traffic to Follow Alternative Routes
Vehicles travelling from Patna towards Bihta have been advised to avoid the Phulwari Sharif route during the restricted hours.
Commuters can instead use Jagdev Path and Chitkohra Roundabout, followed by the routes through the Airport, Dumra Chowk and other designated roads.
Traffic officials have appealed to motorists to plan their journeys in advance and avoid unnecessary travel through the affected area.
Bihta-Patna Route Also Diverted
Vehicles travelling from Bihta towards Patna can use the route from AIIMS Roundabout through Khagaul, Danapur and Nahar Road before proceeding towards Bailey Road or Boring Road.
The alternative routes are intended to reduce congestion around Phulwari Sharif and ensure smoother movement of traffic during the festival.
Emergency Vehicles Exempted
The traffic restrictions will not apply to ambulances, fire tenders, police vehicles, government vehicles and other emergency service vehicles.
Traffic police have urged commuters to cooperate with personnel deployed in the area and follow instructions regarding diversions.
Traffic Advisory for Festival-Goers
With a large number of devotees expected to attend the Shravani Puja Mahotsav, authorities have advised residents to avoid the restricted routes unless necessary between 6 PM and 9 PM.
Motorists travelling between Patna and Bihta should use the designated alternative routes to avoid delays and traffic congestion
