Darbhanga: Passengers travelling from Darbhanga towards Delhi, Amritsar and other destinations should take note of major changes in train operations. Following the commissioning of patch doubling work between Gorakhpur Cantt and Unaula, railway operations will be affected due to non-interlocking (NI) work and an inspection by the Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) scheduled for September 3.
According to East Central Railway, three passenger trains will remain cancelled between August 31 and September 4, while 13 express trains will operate on diverted routes. Seven trains will also be rescheduled by 60 minutes to five hours, while four trains will be controlled for 30 to 60 minutes during their journeys.
Three Passenger Trains Cancelled
Train No. 55095 Narkatiaganj-Gorakhpur Cantt Passenger and Train No. 55098 Gorakhpur Cantt-Narkatiaganj Passenger will remain cancelled from August 31 to September 3.
Train No. 55097 Narkatiaganj-Gorakhpur Cantt Passenger will remain cancelled from September 1 to September 4.

13 Express Trains to Run on Diverted Routes
Train No. 15212 Amritsar-Darbhanga Jananayak Express will operate via Roza, Lucknow, Barabanki, Ayodhya Cantt, Varanasi Junction, Chhapra Rural and Muzaffarpur on September 1 and 2.
Due to the diversion, the train will not have scheduled stoppages at several stations, including Sitapur, Gonda, Basti, Gorakhpur, Kaptanganj, Narkatiaganj, Bettiah, Bapudham Motihari, Chakia, Mehsi and Motipur.
Train No. 14674 Amritsar-Jaynagar Shaheed Express will operate on September 1, while Train No. 14673 Jaynagar-Amritsar Shaheed Express will operate on September 2 and 3 via Bhatni, Mau, Varanasi Junction, Ayodhya Cantt and Barabanki. Stoppages at stations including Gonda, Basti, Khalilabad and Gorakhpur will be affected.
Bagh Express Services Also Diverted
Train No. 13020 Kathgodam-Howrah Bagh Express will run via Barabanki, Ayodhya Cantt, Varanasi Junction, Varanasi City, Mau and Bhatni on September 1.
Train No. 13019 Howrah-Kathgodam Bagh Express will operate via Chhapra, Varanasi Junction, Ayodhya Cantt and Barabanki on September 2. The trains will not stop at several stations, including Gorakhpur.
Janseva and Vaishali Express Routes Changed
Train No. 14617 Purnea Court-Amritsar Janseva Express will operate via Chhapra, Varanasi Junction, Ayodhya Cantt, Barabanki, Lucknow and Roza on September 2 and 3.
Train No. 15565 Lalitgram-New Delhi Vaishali Express will run via Chhapra, Varanasi Junction, Ayodhya Cantt and Barabanki on September 3.
Sampark Kranti and Amritsar Express Affected
Train No. 15707 Katihar-Amritsar Express will run via Chhapra, Aunrihar, Jaunpur, Ayodhya Cantt and Barabanki on September 1 and 2.
The Darbhanga-New Delhi Bihar Sampark Kranti Express (Train No. 12565) will operate via Chhapra, Varanasi Junction, Banaras, Prayagraj Junction and Kanpur Central on September 3.
More Trains to Follow Diversion Routes
Train No. 15904 Chandigarh-Dibrugarh Express will run via Lucknow, Sultanpur, Varanasi Junction and Chhapra on September 2.
Train No. 19725 Khatipura-Darbhanga Amrit Bharat Express will operate via Barabanki, Ayodhya Cantt, Shahganj, Mau, Bhatni, Siwan, Thawe and Kaptanganj on September 1 and 2.
Train No. 02563 Barauni-New Delhi Clone Special and Train No. 02569 Darbhanga-New Delhi Clone Special will operate via Chhapra, Aunrihar, Varanasi Junction, Banaras, Prayagraj Junction and Kanpur Central on September 3.
These trains will also skip several scheduled stops, including Gorakhpur, Siwan and Deoria Sadar.
Seven Trains to Be Rescheduled
Apart from cancellations and diversions, seven trains will also be rescheduled by between 60 minutes and five hours. Four trains will be controlled for approximately 30 to 60 minutes while en route.
The changes may affect passengers travelling through major stations such as Gorakhpur, Basti, Gonda, Siwan and Deoria Sadar.
Passengers Advised to Check Train Status Before Travel
Railway authorities have advised passengers to check the latest train schedules and route information before starting their journey during the affected period. The operational changes are being implemented to facilitate non-interlocking work and the CRS inspection associated with the doubling project.
