Patna: A minor girl was allegedly pushed from a moving Patna-Ara Passenger train near Phulwari Sharif station in the Danapur Railway Division on Wednesday, according to railway police.
Personnel from the Danapur RPF and Patna GRP reached the spot after receiving information about the incident. The injured teenager was taken to Gardanibagh Hospital for treatment.
Her condition was reported to be stable, with no serious injuries reported following the fall.
Teenager Met Young Man On Instagram
According to the teenager’s statement, she is a resident of Ara and had met the young man through Instagram. The two initially communicated online before their friendship developed into a relationship.
The teenager had reportedly left her home a few days earlier and had been staying with the young man, who is from Vaishali. On Wednesday, the two boarded the Patna-Ara Passenger train.
Police Investigating Circumstances
The incident allegedly occurred as the train was leaving Phulwari Sharif station. The teenager told authorities that the young man became angry over an issue and pushed her from the moving train.
Railway police said the teenager has not yet provided a clear account of the circumstances leading to the incident.
The Inspector of Patna Junction Railway Police Station said efforts were underway to identify the accused and trace his whereabouts. Police said an FIR would be registered based on the victim’s statement, followed by further investigation.
