Patna: A Class 12 student from Bihar’s Madhepura district died after collapsing during a class at an Allen Coaching Centre branch in Patna’s Kankarbagh area on Tuesday, police said.
The deceased, identified as Lakshya, had been living in Kankarbagh while pursuing coaching classes alongside his studies.
According to police, the student had arrived at the coaching institute for regular classes when he suddenly collapsed inside the classroom and lost consciousness.
He was initially taken to a nearby private hospital before being referred to Medanta Hospital for further treatment. Doctors at the hospital later declared him dead.

Officials said the exact cause of death has not yet been determined.
The Additional SHO of Kankarbagh Police Station said the coaching institute had not formally informed the police about the incident. Authorities are continuing to gather details related to the case.
Family members of the student have since arrived in Patna, police added.
