Patna: Union Home Minister Amit Shah met with senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders and office bearers at the party headquarters in Patna on Friday, in a series of discussions focused on preparations for the upcoming Bihar assembly elections. Bihar election in-charge Dharmendra Pradhan and state president Dilip Jaiswal were among those present.
Following the meeting, Jaiswal told reporters that Shah had reviewed the party’s election strategy and been presented with a list of potential candidates after a state-wide screening process.

Shah is scheduled to address the BJP’s internet media cell at the Patna headquarters later on Friday and will spend the night in the city.
Earlier in the day, the Home Minister met with around 350 party leaders and workers from the Champaran and Saran districts at the Government Engineering College in Bettiah. BJP MPs, MLAs, MLCs, district presidents, working committee members, and constituency in-charges from West Champaran, East Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan, and Saran districts attended the session.
The meetings come amid heightened preparations as the BJP looks to consolidate its position in Bihar ahead of the assembly polls.
