Motihari: From Champaran, the land of Mahatma Gandhi’s historic satyagraha, Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed NDA workers from 55 assembly constituencies of Champaran and Saran on Friday, sending a clear message ahead of the 2025 Bihar assembly elections: victory must be secured at every booth.
This marked Shah’s fourth visit to the district. During a nearly two-hour interaction with the BJP’s core committees, he sought feedback on weak constituencies, analysed reasons for past defeats, and outlined a detailed strategy to counter the Grand Alliance, which currently dominates the Saran division with 15 out of 24 seats.

“Preparations must be completed within 11 days,” Shah told party workers, assigning responsibilities to panna pramukhs and booth-level teams. At least 11 bike riders and two dozen bicycle workers per booth, he said, will go door-to-door to highlight the achievements of the “double-engine government” led by Nitish Kumar and backed by Narendra Modi.
The Home Minister emphasised that NDA’s campaign must focus on development, national security, and governance, while ensuring unity among alliance partners. Senior leaders were tasked with resolving local disputes swiftly. Shah also urged party workers to break the opposition’s stronghold in Saran and reminded them of past victories that were achieved through grassroots mobilisation.

The meeting, held at the Government Engineering College in Kumarbagh, was attended by MPs, MLAs, former legislators, and NDA leaders. Despite the scorching sun and heavy security restrictions, party workers emerged visibly energised, convinced that the NDA could make sweeping gains.
