Patna: Bihar Rural Works Minister and JD(U) leader Ashok Choudhary has taken aim at political strategist-turned-opponent Prashant Kishor, demanding clarity over his statements concerning the ticket to his daughter, MP Shambhavi Choudhary.
Addressing the media, Choudhary stated that Kishor’s recent claim that he had bought a parliamentary ticket for Shambhavi—who represents Samastipur—was deeply inconsistent. “How can you say I bought the ticket and at the same time call Chirag Paswan ‘a good leader’?” Choudhary questioned, referencing Paswan, head of LJP (Ram Vilas), whose support was allegedly involved.
Choudhary also took issue with the notion that tickets can be bought from a ‘shop’, sarcastically asking Kishor to name one such place. “Who is the shopkeeper that sells MP seats?” he remarked, highlighting the fallacy in such allegations.
This exchange follows a defamation suit filed earlier by Choudhary against Kishor over similar allegations. He has challenged Kishor to provide proof or issue an apology—flagging a growing political tussle between the two.
