Bhagalpur/Patna: Young job seekers in Bhagalpur will have an opportunity to explore private-sector employment options as the District Employment Exchange, Bhagalpur, will organise a District-Level Employment-cum-Vocational Guidance Fair (2026-27) on August 14.
The one-day employment fair will be held at the District School premises under the Department of Youth, Employment and Skill Development, Government of Bihar.
Around 30 companies to participate
Around 30 private-sector companies from Bihar and other states are expected to participate in the fair. Eligible candidates will be able to apply for various positions through direct recruitment and selection processes conducted by participating companies.
The initiative aims to connect local youth with employment opportunities suited to their educational qualifications and skills.
Selection and document verification at the venue
Representatives of participating companies will verify candidates’ documents and conduct interviews as part of the recruitment process.
The selection process will be completely free of charge, with no fee to be collected from candidates. The department said the initiative is intended to provide an accessible and transparent platform for young job seekers.
Career counselling and vocational guidance
Besides recruitment opportunities, the fair will also provide career counselling and vocational guidance.
Officials will guide candidates on career opportunities in the private sector, required qualifications, interview preparation and different stages of the recruitment process.
Youth urged to bring certificates and resumes
The District Employment Exchange has appealed to eligible youth from Bhagalpur and neighbouring areas to participate in the fair in large numbers.
Candidates have been advised to carry their educational certificates, updated resumes and photographs to make use of the recruitment and counselling opportunities available at the event.
