Patna: Police in Khagaul have intensified efforts to trace a 14-year-old Class 10 student of Kendriya Vidyalaya who went missing from the Danapur Railway Colony area on Monday.
The police are examining CCTV footage from the student’s school, questioning classmates and gathering information about her movements before and after school.
FSL Team Examines Uniform And Bag
On Tuesday, a Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team visited the railway tracks where the student’s school uniform and bag were found during the search.
The team examined the items and collected evidence. Danapur SDPO-1 Ajit Kumar and Khagoul SHO Ranjan Kumar were present during the forensic examination.
The belongings were found along the southern side of the Danapur railway line near pole numbers 554/15A and 554/15.
Police Question Teachers And Classmates
After the forensic examination, the police team visited the student’s school and spoke to the principal and teachers to gather information about her routine and movements.
Investigators also examined CCTV footage from cameras installed on the school premises.
The police questioned the student’s female classmates to establish when she arrived at school, when she left after classes and what happened afterwards.
Family And Residents Joined Search
The student went missing after school hours on Monday. Her family searched for her but could not locate her, following which local residents also joined the search.
On Monday, family members and local residents blocked the Bihta-Khagaul main road near the Sarari railway crossing, burned tyres and raised slogans against the police administration.
The road blockade disrupted traffic for around three hours.
Police are continuing to investigate different aspects of the case and are conducting searches to locate the student.
