Patna: Women associated with Jivika self-help groups in Masaurhi are producing 3,700 Tricolours as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign ahead of Independence Day 2026.
The initiative is being carried out on the instructions of Masaurhi Sub-Divisional Officer Dhanraj Kumar, with women working at three designated Jivika centres across the block.
The women are involved in cutting and stitching the fabric for the flags, while ensuring that the national flag is made in accordance with prescribed standards and retains its dignity.
Block Livelihood Officer Digvijay Narayan Samdarshi said production was continuing across all three centres to ensure that the flags reach as many households as possible under the campaign.
Employment And Community Participation
For the Jivika members involved in the initiative, flag-making provides both an employment opportunity and a role in preparations for the national festival.
The women said they would take pride in seeing the flags they made being displayed at homes, business establishments and institutions during the campaign.
The administration said the initiative is also intended to support livelihood opportunities for rural women and encourage their participation in community and nation-building activities.
Tiranga Yatra On August 12
A Tiranga Yatra will be organised in the Masaurhi block area on August 12 as part of efforts to encourage public participation in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
The campaign is being observed in the lead-up to Independence Day and in connection with the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram.
The administration and Jivika groups are working to expand participation in the campaign at the grassroots level and encourage households across Masaurhi to display the national flag.
