Patna: The Bihar State University Service Commission (BSUSC) has released the category-wise cut-off marks for the recruitment of assistant professors in six subjects for appointments to Bihar’s newly established 211 degree colleges.
The commission said the cut-off marks have been determined for candidates shortlisted for the next stage of the recruitment process. The recruitment drive aims to fill assistant professor positions on a contractual basis in the newly established government degree colleges across the state.
What The Notification Says
According to the BSUSC notification, the cut-off list covers six subjects:
- History
- Sociology
- English
- Political Science
- Hindi
- Economics
The commission has also published category-wise qualifying marks for candidates belonging to General (UR), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Backward Classes (BC), Extremely Backward Classes (EBC), Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Women of Backward Classes (WBC), and other reserved categories, including persons with disabilities.
Highest And Lowest Cut-Offs
Among the subjects listed, Hindi recorded one of the highest general category cut-offs at 69.9, while Political Science stood at 68.0. For the unreserved category, the cut-offs were:
History: 68.5
Sociology: 67.6
English: 65.1
Political Science: 68.0
Hindi: 69.9
Economics: 65.3
The notification also provides separate cut-offs for female candidates within applicable reserved categories and for disability categories.
