New Delhi/Patna: The Bihar Pavilion at Bharat Tex 2026 continued to attract a large number of visitors on the third day of the exhibition, with industry leaders, policymakers, buyers and textile entrepreneurs exploring the state’s textile and apparel ecosystem, according to the Department of Industries, Government of Bihar.
The pavilion, set up at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, showcases Bihar’s textile heritage, industrial policies and investment opportunities. Officials said the steady footfall reflects growing interest in the state’s expanding textile and apparel sector.
Senior Dignitaries Visit Pavilion
Among those who visited the Bihar Pavilion on Thursday were Andhra Pradesh Minister for Handlooms and Textiles S. Savitha, India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) Chairman Jawed Ashraf, Maharashtra Directorate of Sericulture Deputy Director Mahendra B. Dhawale, and Bihar State Entrepreneur and Trader Commission nominated member Rohit Chandra.
They were briefed on Bihar’s textile and apparel investment opportunities, industry-friendly policies, skill development initiatives and the state’s evolving industrial ecosystem.
Also present during the visit were Vidya Nand Singh, Director, Directorate of Handloom and Sericulture; Aman Samir, Director, MSME; and Mukul Kumar Gupta, Director of Industries.
Focus on Investment and Textile Heritage
According to the Department of Industries, the pavilion highlights Bihar’s textile traditions, handicrafts, GI-tagged products and opportunities across the textile and apparel value chain.
Officials said several investors, buyers and industry representatives expressed interest in exploring investment and business expansion opportunities in the state during the exhibition.
The visiting dignitaries also appreciated Bihar’s textile and handicraft heritage, investment potential and the state’s efforts to promote industrial development through policy support and skill development initiatives, the department said.
Pavilion Open Until July 17
The Department of Industries said the response at Bharat Tex 2026 reflects Bihar’s growing profile as a destination for textile and apparel investment, supported by its skilled workforce, industrial policies and developing manufacturing ecosystem.
The department has invited investors, industry representatives and visitors to visit the Bihar Pavilion at Hall 11, Stall A4 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, until July 17, to learn more about investment opportunities in Bihar’s textile and apparel sector.
