Patna: The Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) has approved 20 industrial projects with a proposed investment of nearly Rs 350 crore, according to the Industries Department.
The approvals were granted during a meeting of the Project Clearance Committee (PCC) chaired by Kundan Kumar, Secretary of the Industries Department and Managing Director of BIADA and IDA. The committee also allocated around 30 acres of land for the proposed units.
Officials said the projects are expected to generate employment opportunities for around 2,300 people across Bihar.
Focus On Industrial Expansion
Industries Minister Shreyasi Singh said the approved projects would support Bihar’s industrial and technological growth while creating employment and skill-based opportunities for local youth.
She said the state government remained committed to building an investor-friendly ecosystem and strengthening Bihar’s position as an industrial and manufacturing destination.
Kundan Kumar said the government was pursuing balanced and inclusive industrial development through transparent and time-bound land allocation processes.
He added that the state was working to improve infrastructure, connectivity and policy support to ensure faster implementation of industrial projects.
Projects Across Multiple Sectors
The approved proposals cover sectors including food processing, software development, pre-engineered building fabrication, furniture manufacturing, PVC and UPVC pipe production, compressed biogas (CBG), healthcare and general manufacturing.
The projects will be set up in industrial areas including Kumarbagh, Begusarai, Hajipur, Patliputra, Bariyarpur and Sasaram.
Among the companies receiving approvals are Bharat GPS Bioenergy Pvt Ltd, Crispano Foods & Beverage Pvt Ltd, SP Institute of Workforce Development Pvt Ltd, Experia Prefaxo Pvt Ltd, Rayush Healthcare Pvt Ltd and Makhayo Foods Pvt Ltd.
Employment And Local Economic Activity
Officials said the projects are expected to strengthen Bihar’s industrial base and expand economic activity in local areas through new manufacturing and service units.
The Industries Department said the projects would also support employment and self-employment opportunities for young people in the state.
