Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar wrapped up the fourth phase of his much-anticipated Samriddhi Yatra, with visits to Gaya and Aurangabad districts to review ongoing development projects. During the final day, Kumar inaugurated several key schemes and laid foundation stones for new initiatives, while also engaging directly with residents to hear their concerns.
The conclusion of the fourth phase comes ahead of the fifth leg, scheduled to begin on March 23. According to the itinerary, the next phase will span four days, with the Chief Minister visiting Jehanabad, Arwal, Kaimur, Rohtas, Bhojpur, Buxar, and his home district of Nalanda before concluding in Patna.
A hallmark of the Samriddhi Yatra is its ‘Jan Samvad’ (Public Dialogue) initiative, in which Kumar meets local communities in each district to solicit feedback and address grievances. Officials say this engagement helps the administration gauge grassroots-level development while giving citizens a platform to directly communicate with the state government.
Following a brief two-day break, the Chief Minister will resume his journey on March 23, focusing on both monitoring development works and continuing dialogue with residents in every district.
Samriddhi Yatra 5.0 Schedule:
- March 23: Jehanabad and Arwal; overnight in Patna
- March 24: Kaimur and Rohtas
- March 25: Bhojpur and Buxar
- March 26: Nalanda, followed by concluding ceremony in Patna
Officials describe the Yatra as a “direct channel between the government and the people,” with the aim of ensuring that development reaches every corner of Bihar.
