Patna: The Economic Offenses Unit (EOU) has arrested Rajkishore Kumar, the main accused in the Bihar constable recruitment paper leak case. He had been missing for the past two years and had a bounty of Rs 1 lakh. Rajkishore is from Bakhtari village in Karpi, Arwal. His arrest is seen as an important step in exposing the network behind the scam.
Police said Rajkishore was involved in leaking the question paper for the Central Selection Board of Constable Recruitment examination held under Advertisement No. 01/2023. The exam was for 21,391 constable posts in Bihar Police. The answers were shared on social media before the exam, forcing the government to hand the case over to the EOU.
During the arrest, police found mobile phones, admit cards, and detailed lists of candidates. These included names, districts, roll numbers, exam dates, and other details, which were used to help candidates cheat. Investigators also found Rs 1.5 crore in his bank account, believed to be money collected from candidates. He is also accused of being involved in other exam scams like CTET and the Electricity Department recruitment.
Rajkishore has been booked under sections of cheating, forgery, criminal conspiracy, the IT Act, and the Bihar Examination Conducting Act 1981. The arrest is expected to reveal more about the people and methods behind such exam scams in Bihar.
