Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary will submit his nomination from the Tarapur Assembly seat, while former MP Ramkripal Yadav will contest from Danapur. His nomination is expected to draw significant attention, as five chief ministers—Uttar Pradesh’s Yogi Adityanath, Goa’s Pramod Sawant, Chhattisgarh’s Vishnu Dev Sai, Tripura’s Manik Saha, and Odisha’s Mohan Majhi—are slated to attend. Several Union ministers, including Prahlad Joshi, Mansukh Mandaviya, Virendra Kumar, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Arjun Ram Meghwal, Anurag Thakur, Pawan Kalyan, Rajendra Shukla, and Manoj Tiwari, are also expected to be present.
On the opposition front, RJD strongman Ritlal Yadav, who remains behind bars, will also contest from Danapur, with his supporters preparing to file his nomination on his behalf. Meanwhile, Tej Pratap Yadav, the eldest son of Lalu Prasad, will submit his papers from Mahua. Having parted ways with the RJD, Tej Pratap will contest under the banner of his newly formed party, the Janshakti Janata Dal.
Adding further intrigue to the polls, former IPS officer Shivdeep Lande will enter the electoral arena, contesting as an independent candidate from Jamalpur and Araria in the Munger region. Lande recently resigned from the police service to pursue a political career.
From the Grand Alliance, Shakti Singh Yadav is set to file his nomination from Hilsa, and Anirudh Prasad Yadav from Bakhtiyarpur.
Earlier this week, Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Prasad Yadav filed his nomination from Raghopur on October 15, accompanied by Lalu Prasad, Rabri Devi, and Misa Bharti.
