Gayaji: A joke application listing a father as Fortuner and his son as Bullet has led Bihar police to register an FIR, highlighting ongoing challenges with frivolous submissions in government offices.
The application, received on August 15, included a photograph of a motorcycle and identified the applicant as a resident of Kotwara village in the Pachartan Panchayat under Dobhi police station. Authorities described the submission as an attempt to ridicule official processes.
A second similar application arrived on August 19, naming the applicant Hawajhuj, with parents listed as Kisi Quiz and Bhav Quiz, from Masehna village in Barachatti.
The Circle Officer at Dobhi submitted the matter to police for formal action. Officials noted that previous incidents had included requests for residential certificates for animals and inanimate objects, sparking public debate about administrative oversight.
Police have confirmed that both applications are under investigation, with a focus on preventing misuse of the Bihar Right to Public Services Act.
Bihar has seen a spate of such submissions in recent months, with previous cases including requests for certificates in the names of tractors, Bhojpuri actors, and even political figures.
Authorities have urged citizens to avoid submitting frivolous applications, warning that legal action will follow in cases intended to disrupt administrative work.
