Patna: The Bihar government has reshuffled bureaucrats, transferring two secretary-level officers and assigning postings to members of the 2023 IAS batch after the completion of their training.
A general administration department notification confirmed that 2010 batch IAS officer Kanwal Tanuj, who was serving as Secretary in the Minor Water Resources Department, has been transferred as Secretary of the Planning and Development Department until further orders.
Similarly, 2013 batch IAS officer Jitendra Gupta, who was posted as Joint Secretary of the Planning Board, has been shifted to the Finance Department as Joint Secretary.
The state has also issued first postings for officers from the 2023 batch of the IAS. Among them, Krishna Chandra Gupta has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty in the Home Department, Bihar, Patna. Gupta recently completed his training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie.
The General Administration Department released the notification detailing the transfers and appointments, which take effect immediately.
