Patna: The Labour Resources Department of Bihar on Froday organised an Industry Sensitisation Workshop on CM-PRATIGYA Scheme at Pratibimb Auditorium, BVM. The event, chaired by labour commissioner-cum-ACEO of Bihar Skill Development Mission, Rajesh Bharti, aimed to deepen collaboration between industries and government to enhance skill development among youth.
Presenting the vision and objectives of the scheme, the CM-PRATIGYA team emphasised labour welfare, youth empowerment and industry engagement. Bharti described the Mukhyamantri Internship Scheme as “an ambitious initiative” that would provide 3- to 12-month industry-based training. “This will help young people become self-reliant, acquire modern skills, and position Bihar as a skill-rich, competitive state,” he said.

He added that similar workshops would be held at divisional and district levels, with efforts to involve young people from remote areas through wider coordination with stakeholders.
A wide spectrum of organisations participated, including Britannia Industries, Indian Oil Corporation, HPCL, Dalmia Cement, Anmol Industries, Hariom Feeds Pvt Ltd, Micromax Bio Fuels Pvt Ltd, Parmann Nutritionals Pvt Ltd, COMFED, BRLPS-JEEViKA, Go Green Apparel Pvt Ltd and Auvo Sundaram International Pvt Ltd. Representatives from the education, agriculture and health departments also attended.

During discussions, participants raised questions and shared suggestions, with consensus on strengthening departmental coordination, conducting follow-up workshops at district level and launching community awareness campaigns.
The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Mission Director Manish Shankar. Participants pledged to extend full cooperation to ensure the scheme benefits more young people across Bihar.
