Patna: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) on Monday announced the results of the State Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2025, recording an overall pass percentage of 57.96%.
A total of 2,56,301 candidates qualified for the examination, including 1,04,167 women and 1,52,134 men. The test was taken by 4,42,214 candidates across both papers, officials said.
The results were released online by the BSEB chair, Anand Kishor. Candidates can access and download their scorecards from the official website using their login credentials.
The computer-based examination was conducted between October 14 and November 16, 202,5 across nine districts of Bihar. It covered two levels: Paper I for classes 9 and 10, and Paper II for classes 11 and 12.
Paper I saw the participation of 2,46,415 candidates, of whom 1,54,145 qualified, resulting in a pass percentage of 62.56%. The paper covered 16 subjects.
Paper II was taken by 1,95,799 candidates, with 1,02,156 declared successful. The pass percentage for the senior secondary level stood at 52.17%, with examinations conducted across 29 subjects.
The qualifying cut-off was set at 50% for general category candidates, 45.5% for backward classes, 42.5% for extremely backward classes, and 40% for women, candidates with disabilities, and those from scheduled castes and tribes.
The examination consisted of 150 multiple-choice questions carrying equal marks, with no negative marking. Tests were held at 23 centres in districts including Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur, Muzaffarpur and Darbhanga.
