Patna: Twenty-two teachers from across Bihar have been honoured under the state government’s ‘Teacher of the Month’ initiative for February, receiving certificates of appreciation from the Additional Chief Secretary of the Education Department.
The programme aims to recognise government school teachers who demonstrate exceptional dedication, teaching skills, and a positive impact on students at the block level. Teachers can apply online through the ‘e-Shikshakosh’ portal between the 1st and 10th of every month, after which selections are made based on merit and commitment to their schools and the Education Department.

This month’s recipients include nine teachers from Bhojpur, six from Khagaria, three from Muzaffarpur, and one each from Samastipur, Madhepura, Kishanganj, and Kaimur. Dr B. Rajendra, the Additional Chief Secretary, presented the certificates, which have now been forwarded to the respective schools.
The initiative reflects the state government’s broader effort to motivate and publicly acknowledge the contributions of educators in government institutions.
