Patna: Bihar residents and tourists will soon be able to enjoy helicopter rides over some of the state’s most popular destinations as part of a new tourism initiative aimed at promoting travel and improving visitor experiences.
Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary announced that helicopter tourism services will begin from July 15. Under the scheme, an aerial tour of Patna will cost Rs 2,100 per person, while flights over Rajgir, Mundeshwari Temple, Tutla Bhawani Temple and Valmiki Tiger Reserve will be available for Rs 6,000.
The Chief Minister said the Bihar government will bear any operational expenses beyond the fixed fare charged to passengers.
Fare Structure Announced
According to officials, the tourism package has been designed to make aerial sightseeing affordable for the public.
The fares have been fixed as follows:
- Patna aerial tour: Rs 2,100
- Rajgir aerial tour: Rs 6,000
- Mundeshwari Temple and Tutla Bhawani tour: Rs 6,000
- Valmiki Tiger Reserve and surrounding forest areas: Rs 6,000
The initiative is expected to offer visitors a unique perspective of Bihar’s historical, religious and natural attractions.
Tourism Push by Bihar Government
The helicopter tourism service is part of the state government’s broader efforts to strengthen Bihar’s tourism sector and attract more visitors.
Officials believe the project will enhance the travel experience while showcasing the state’s cultural and natural heritage from the air.
Technology Centre and Aqua Park Projects
Apart from tourism, the state government is also focusing on industrial and infrastructure development.
During a recent visit to Gaya, Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary laid the foundation stone for a Technology Centre project. He also inaugurated the foundation work for an Integrated Aqua Park in Arrah.
Fisheries and Solar Energy Plan
Speaking in Arrah, the Chief Minister highlighted plans to combine fisheries with renewable energy generation.
Under the proposed model, fish farming will continue in ponds while solar panels will be installed above them to generate electricity.
He also announced plans to establish integrated rural marketing facilities where milk, vegetables and fish can be sold under one roof, with the aim of improving market access and increasing income opportunities for farmers and producers.
