Rohtas: A case of alleged sexual assault involving a 16-year-old girl has been reported from Bikramganj in Rohtas district, where police have registered an FIR following a complaint by the girl’s mother.
According to the complaint, four people allegedly entered the family’s house at night. The girl’s mother has alleged that one of the accused threatened her with a pistol when she and her daughter resisted.
Police have started an investigation and sent the minor for a medical examination. The accused named in the case are reportedly absconding.
Four People Allegedly Entered House at Night
According to the FIR based on the mother’s statement, she was sleeping in a room with her 16-year-old daughter when the accused allegedly entered the house.
The complaint states that a man from the neighbourhood, accompanied by three other people, allegedly reached the family’s rooftop from an adjoining terrace. They then allegedly entered the room through the staircase.
The mother has alleged that the main accused attempted to take her daughter with him. When she and the girl resisted, the accused allegedly threatened them with a pistol.
According to the complaint, the other three alleged accomplices had covered their faces and remained near the girl’s mother.
Minor Allegedly Taken to Rooftop
The girl’s mother has alleged that the main accused took her daughter to the rooftop while allegedly threatening her with the pistol, where the alleged sexual assault took place.
After the incident, the mother reportedly went to the accused’s house to complain. She has further alleged that she was abused there.
Police have registered a case based on the complaint and are investigating the allegations.
Police Send Minor for Medical Examination
Following the complaint, police sent the 16-year-old girl for a medical examination as part of the investigation.
The medical examination and other evidence will form part of the police investigation into the allegations.
Officials are also examining the circumstances of the incident and the alleged roles of all four accused.
All Four Accused Reportedly Absconding
Bikramganj Station House Officer Dinesh Malakar said that an FIR has been registered and the girl has been sent for medical examination.
According to the SHO, the accused named in the case are currently absconding. Police teams are taking further action to trace and arrest them.
The investigation is underway, and the allegations will be established through the police inquiry and subsequent legal proceedings.
