Patna: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has intensified its campaign for the Bihar Assembly elections 2025, deploying its top brass in the state. While Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union home minister Amit Shah are expected to visit soon, party president JP Nadda reached Patna on Saturday to hold a crucial strategy meeting with state leaders and workers.
Nadda chaired a three-hour meeting at the State Guest House, where he underlined the importance of better coordination among NDA workers at the grassroots. Referring to the recent NDA conference, he said the event had created “a better atmosphere” and boosted public confidence, stressing that similar initiatives must be replicated at the booth level.

The BJP chief asked leaders to prepare lists of central and state schemes that had reached the ground, and to ensure their benefits were communicated to the electorate. Citing recent decisions of the Nitish Kumar-led government — including 125 units of free electricity, a Rs 10,000 grant for women entrepreneurs, and salary hikes for panchayat representatives, JEEViKA members and Anganwadi workers — Nadda directed cadres to highlight these in outreach efforts.
“You people should go among the public and give information about the schemes of the government,” he told workers, urging them to build closer ties with NDA allies at the lower level.

BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal said organisational issues were discussed in detail, but confirmed that seat sharing was not on the agenda. “The national president has emphasised mutual coordination. Seva Pakhwada will begin on September 17 and will be expanded to the divisional level. Seat sharing will be taken up in an NDA meeting,” Jaiswal said.
Nadda, however, was unable to meet chief minister Nitish Kumar due to the latter’s ill health.
