Patna: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has begun the re-checking and re-evaluation process for Class 12 examination results, with the Patna Zone recording the highest number of applications in the country so far.
According to information released by the Board, nearly 40,000 students across India have applied for re-checking and re-evaluation. Of these, approximately 6,000 applications have come from the Patna Zone.
Applications Open Until June 6
CBSE has stated that students can submit applications for re-checking and re-evaluation until midnight on June 6. The facility is available only to those candidates who have already obtained scanned copies of their evaluated answer sheets.
The Board has urged students to complete the process within the prescribed timeline, as no applications will be accepted after the deadline.
Online Submission Through Official Website
Students have been instructed to submit their applications exclusively through CBSE’s official portal. The Board has cautioned candidates against using unauthorised websites or links, warning that such platforms could expose students to fraudulent activities.
Officials said all requests related to verification and re-evaluation must be made through the designated online system.
Aadhaar Verification Introduced
To strengthen the security and transparency of the process, CBSE has introduced Aadhaar-based verification this year.
Students can verify their identity using their own Aadhaar details. In cases where a student does not possess an Aadhaar card, details of a parent or a close family member may be used for verification.
Fee Structure for Re-Checking and Re-Evaluation
CBSE has prescribed a fee of Rs 100 per answer sheet for verification of errors in the scanned copies of evaluated answer books.
For re-evaluation, students will be required to pay Rs 25 per question. Payments can be made through UPI, Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking.
No Changes Allowed After Submission
The Board has clarified that applicants will not be able to modify any information once the application has been submitted.
According to CBSE guidelines, all details become final after candidates click the “Freeze and Proceed to Payment” option. Once the payment process is completed, no corrections or alterations will be permitted.
Officials have advised students to carefully review all information before finalising their applications to avoid errors during the process.
