Sources indicate a surprising incident during Tauseef’s transfer from Kolkata to Patna, where a police station in-charge allegedly ordered his handcuffs to be removed in a moving vehicle, startling even the accompanying officers. Media personnel, whose vehicles were trailing Tauseef’s, witnessed the moment his car stopped and quickly approached.
Inside the Conspiracy: A Close Confidante and a Phone Spat
Interrogation revealed that Sheru Singh, the alleged mastermind currently lodged in Purulia jail, was privy to Chandan Mishra’s movements, including his admission to Paras Hospital on July 15. This critical information was reportedly provided by an individual close to Chandan who was, in fact, working for Sheru Singh. Sheru was also aware of Chandan’s prior treatment at AIIMS.
Before his admission to Paras Hospital, Chandan Mishra had a heated phone altercation with Sheru Singh, accusing him, “You are getting me spied upon.” This confrontation appears to have been a catalyst, as shooters, including Tauseef, had already gathered at Nishu Khan’s house in Samanpura on July 11. Subsequently, Tauseef and his accomplices conducted a thorough recce of Paras Hospital and planned their escape routes meticulously.

Authorities are now preparing to bring mastermind Sheru Singh to Bihar from Purulia jail on remand, as the secrets divulged by Tauseef directly implicate him. The police are exercising extreme caution to avoid any procedural errors in this high-profile case.
Meanwhile, shooters Balwant and Ravi Ranjan, who sustained injuries in the encounter, are currently undergoing treatment at PMCH. Police have obtained updates on their health from the hospital administration and plan to take them on remand for interrogation once they recover. Additionally, preparations are underway to bring Abhishek, currently in Bhojpur jail, on remand for further questioning.
