Patna: Commercial LPG cylinders have become cheaper from July 1 after oil marketing companies reduced the price of the 19 kg cylinder by Rs 172.50, offering relief to hotels, restaurants, caterers and other commercial establishments.
Under the revised rates, the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has been reduced from Rs 3,414 to Rs 3,241.50.
Relief For Commercial Consumers
The latest price cut is expected to reduce fuel costs for businesses that rely heavily on commercial LPG, including hotels, restaurants, dhabas, bakeries, sweet shops and catering services.
Industry representatives said the reduction could help ease operating expenses for commercial establishments.
No Change In Domestic LPG Prices
Domestic LPG consumers, however, will not see any change in prices this month.
According to Ram Naresh Sinha, General Secretary of the LPG Distributors’ Association, the price of a 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder remains unchanged at Rs 1,040.
The price of the 5 kg domestic LPG cylinder also remains unchanged at Rs 386.
Revised Commercial LPG Rates
Under the new pricing structure effective from July 1:
- 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder: Rs 3,241.50 (down by Rs 172.50)
- 47.5 kg commercial LPG cylinder: Rs 8,098
- 19 kg Nano Cut cylinder: Rs 3,403
- 19 kg Extratech cylinder: Rs 3,264
Business owners expressed hope that the reduction in commercial LPG prices would provide some relief from rising operational costs, particularly for the hospitality and food service sectors, where fuel is a significant recurring expense.
