Patna: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has opened the correction window for candidates who have registered for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) September 2026 examination. Applicants can make changes to their submitted application forms from June 15 to June 18 through the official online portal.
The board has clarified that this will be the final opportunity for candidates to rectify mistakes made during the application process. No requests for modifications will be entertained once the correction window closes.
No Changes After June 18
According to CBSE, candidates must complete all corrections within the stipulated period. After June 18, the application forms will be treated as final and no further edits will be allowed under any circumstances.
The board has advised applicants to thoroughly review every detail in their forms and ensure that the information matches their official documents.
Check Personal Details Carefully
Errors in personal information are among the most common issues reported during the application process. Candidates have been asked to verify details including their name, parents’ names, date of birth, category, photograph, signature and contact information.
Officials said even minor discrepancies may lead to difficulties during admit card download, examination attendance or document verification.
CTET Examination Scheduled for September
The application process for CTET September 2026 began on May 11, while the last date for submission of forms and payment of fees was June 10.
As per the examination schedule, CTET will be conducted on September 6, 2026, across multiple centres nationwide. CBSE has also indicated that an additional examination day on September 5 may be considered if the number of applicants exceeds expectations.
Admit cards are expected to be released approximately two days before the examination. The results are likely to be announced in the final week of October.
Examination City Allocation Revised
CBSE has introduced a significant change in the examination centre allocation process this year. Candidates were not given the option to choose their preferred examination city while submitting their applications.
The examination city will be allotted by the board according to its prescribed norms, and the allotted centre will not be changed thereafter.
Candidates Advised to Follow Official Sources
The board has urged candidates to rely only on official notifications and website updates for information related to CTET.
CBSE cautioned applicants against misleading claims and unverified information circulating on social media and other unofficial platforms. With lakhs of aspiring teachers expected to appear for the eligibility test, the board has emphasised the importance of ensuring that all application details are accurate before the correction deadline.
