New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has reopened the application portal for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) scheduled for February 2026, offering a final opportunity to candidates who began but did not complete their submissions earlier.
The window will operate from December 27 at 11 am until 11:59 pm on December 30, allowing applicants to log in and finalise pending forms at ctet.nic.in. The board stressed that the window is available only for incomplete applications and that no fresh registrations will be accepted.
More than 1,61,000 candidates failed to submit their forms during the original application period, which ran from November 27 to December 18. CBSE said many had contacted the board seeking relief after the deadline passed and the portal closed automatically.
The board noted that, given the exam is being held almost a year after the last edition, eligible candidates need not be unnecessarily excluded. A total of 25,30,436 candidates have registered for the February session so far.
DL.Ed admission deadline extended in Bihar
In a separate development, the Bihar School Examination Board has extended the deadline for the DL. Ed joint entrance exam for the 2026–28 session. Applicants can now submit forms and fees between December 26 and January 6, 2026, after the previous deadline of December 24 was pushed back “in the interest of students.”
