Patna: Thieves broke into an electronics shop in the Dalluchak area on Sunday night, escaping with around Rs 3 lakh worth of cash and electric wires, police said.
According to the Khagaul police station, six men targeted the shop around 2 am. Three entered the premises while the others kept watch outside. CCTV footage showed all the suspects wearing half pants with their faces covered, and tampering with the security system: two of the shop’s three cameras were switched off. The third camera captured the entire incident, including a clear view of one of the thieves’ faces.
Shop owner Rakesh Kumar Singh said he had closed the store at 10 pm and was informed of the theft around 3 am by a passerby. The thieves made off with electric wires valued at Rs 2.5 lakh and Rs 45,000 in cash from the shop’s cash box.
Police have visited the scene and launched an investigation, relying on CCTV footage to identify and apprehend the suspects.
