Gaya/Patna: Bihar Energy Secretary-cum-Managing Director of Bihar State Power Holding Company Limited (BSPHCL), Ajay Yadav, inspected the power supply system and ongoing electricity projects in Gaya and Jehanabad districts on August 23 and directed officials to ensure prompt grievance redressal and reliable power supply.
Yadav held a review meeting with officials of the Gaya Power Supply Circle to assess power supply, infrastructure maintenance, ongoing projects and revenue-related activities.
Focus On Consumer Services
Yadav directed officials to make the power supply system more consumer-centric and ensure that complaints are addressed promptly and on priority.
He also instructed officers and staff to maintain timely, courteous and sensitive communication with consumers while resolving grievances within prescribed timelines.
The Energy Secretary said reliable and quality power supply remains the top priority of the Energy Department.

Inspection Of Power Infrastructure
Yadav first inspected the 33/11 kV Power Sub-Station at Magadh University, where he reviewed the maintenance of power lines and sub-stations.
He directed officials to follow the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) prescribed by the BSPHCL headquarters and ensure regular and timely maintenance of electrical infrastructure.
He later inspected the under-construction Power Sub-Station at Domuhan in Bodh Gaya and reviewed the progress of construction work.
The executing agency was directed to complete the project within the stipulated timeline while maintaining the required quality and technical standards. Yadav also inspected the 220/132/33 kV Grid Sub-Station at Bodh Gaya.
Rooftop Solar Installation Reviewed
Yadav also visited Padariya village in Bodh Gaya to review the installation of rooftop solar systems at the homes of Kutir Jyoti consumers selected under the ULA model of the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.
He directed the concerned agency to ensure quality installation and compliance with prescribed technical standards.

Officials Directed To Monitor Maintenance
During the review meeting at the Gaya Power Supply Circle office, officials presented updates on power supply in Gaya and Jehanabad, ongoing projects, revenue collection and measures to improve revenue.
Yadav directed Junior Electrical Engineers and Assistant Electrical Engineers to monitor scheduled maintenance activities on a daily basis.
He also instructed officials to conduct disconnection and enforcement drives in accordance with assigned targets and ensure strict compliance with maintenance schedules and SOPs.
Yadav said a technically robust power system, combined with prompt resolution of consumer grievances, is essential for improving electricity services.
