Patna: Indian indie-pop band Euphoria will perform a free live concert at Bapu Sabhagar in Patna on July 5, offering audiences an evening of some of the group’s best-known songs from the 1990s and 2000s.
Led by founder and vocalist Dr Palash Sen, the concert is expected to feature popular tracks including Dhoom Pichak Dhoom, Maeri, Ab Na Ja, Mehfooz and Aana Meri Gali.
A Return To Hindi Pop-Rock Classics
Euphoria emerged as one of India’s leading independent music acts during the late 1990s, establishing itself outside the mainstream Bollywood music industry.
Formed in Delhi in 1998, the band gained national recognition with the release of Dhoom Pichak Dhoom. Its music combines elements of Western rock with Indian folk influences and Hindi lyrics, exploring themes such as friendship, relationships, family and patriotism.
Dr Palash Sen To Lead Performance
Dr Palash Sen, who founded the band while studying medicine, is known for his energetic stage performances and distinctive vocal style.
Organisers said the concert will revisit many of Euphoria’s most recognisable songs, with opportunities for the audience to sing along during the performance.
Full Band To Perform
Joining Dr Palash Sen on stage will be band members DJ Bhaduri on bass guitar, Rakesh Bhardwaj and Prashant Trivedi on percussion, Vishal Mehta on drums and Aditya Shankar Benia on guitar.
The musicians have performed together at concerts across India and internationally over the years.
Free Entry For Music Lovers
The concert will take place at Bapu Sabhagar on the evening of July 5 and will be open to the public without an entry fee.
Organisers said the event is intended to bring together fans of Hindi indie-pop music for a live performance celebrating Euphoria’s enduring catalogue of songs.
