Patna: India’s online festive shopping season has officially begun with Flipkart’s Big Billion Days Sale 2025 and Amazon’s Great Indian Festival Sale 2025 going live on 22 September for Plus and Prime members. Other customers will be able to access the deals starting from 23 September. The sales coincide with the start of Navratri and are expected to see record consumer spending across categories ranging from smartphones to home appliances.
Flipkart is offering bank-linked benefits, including up to 10% discounts on Axis Bank and ICICI Bank cards, along with additional cashback for Flipkart Axis Bank credit card holders. Amazon, meanwhile, has tied up with SBI to provide its Prime members a 10% discount during the Great Indian Festival Sale.

The highlight of the sales is undoubtedly smartphones, with significant markdowns on the latest premium devices. Flipkart has listed the iPhone 16 at Rs.51,999, the iPhone 16 Pro at Rs.69,999, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max at Rs.89,999. Amazon is offering last year’s iPhone 15 for Rs.45,749, while Samsung’s Galaxy S24 Ultra is available at a starting price of Rs.71,999—almost half its launch price. Flipkart has also listed the Samsung Galaxy S24 at Rs.39,999, making these among the most sought-after deals this season.

Beyond smartphones, the two platforms are pushing deep discounts on large electronics and household products. A 55-inch smart TV is available on Flipkart starting at Rs.27,000, while refrigerators are being offered at up to 60% off. Air conditioners are also listed with major festive price cuts, reflecting consumer demand for home upgrades ahead of Diwali.
With the combined strength of Flipkart and Amazon competing for buyers, this year’s festive shopping extravaganza is shaping up to be one of the biggest yet. For consumers, the twin sales provide a chance to grab big-ticket gadgets and appliances at some of the steepest discounts of the year, while for the e-commerce giants, it marks the beginning of India’s most lucrative shopping season.
