Gaya: Flight operations at the Gaya International Airport will be partially suspended for four months as part of a revised schedule effective from July 3. According to the airport administration, no scheduled domestic or international flights will operate on Mondays and Fridays until October.
The decision has prompted an advisory for passengers to check flight schedules in advance before planning travel during this period.
Flight Suspension Schedule
As per the revised arrangement, all scheduled flight services at the airport will remain suspended on Mondays and Fridays from July 3 to October.
On the remaining five days of the week, flight operations will continue as per the existing timetable without changes.
Airport Administration Statement
Awadhesh Kumar, Acting Director of Gaya International Airport, said the arrangement is temporary and linked to the seasonal flight schedule.
He stated that normal operations will continue on other days of the week and no changes have been made beyond the specified two days.
Impact on Travellers and Advisory
The airport administration has advised passengers, particularly those planning travel on Mondays and Fridays, to verify flight timings directly with airlines before reaching the airport.
Officials said the advisory aims to prevent last-minute inconvenience due to the temporary suspension of services on specific days.
Normal Operations After October
According to the airport authorities, regular domestic and international flight operations are expected to resume after October with the implementation of the winter flight schedule.
Once the seasonal transition takes place, services will return to the standard weekly operating pattern.
