Gayaji: Security forces in Bihar have seized an automatic carbine during a raid on a suspected Naxalite hideout in Gaya district. The weapon, recovered from the Sondaha-Dumri forest in the Lutua police station area, is capable of firing 30 rounds in a single burst.
The operation was carried out following intelligence inputs and led by Gaya SSP Anand Kumar, Imamganj SDPO Kamlesh Kumar, and CRPF 47th Battalion Camp Assistant Commandant Saurabh Maurya. The weapon was reportedly hidden under a stone.
Officials said the raid is part of a wider campaign to dismantle Naxalite strongholds in the region. Kamlesh Kumar stated that security forces have “completely dominated” the area and pledged that search operations will continue until all hideouts are eliminated.
