‘The Ganga’s call is for everyone’
Saints said that devotees from Bihar have always played an important role in Kumbh traditions and that 2027 is expected to see an especially large turnout.
One senior saint remarked:
“The Ganga’s call is for everyone. Those who come with devotion, return with blessings.”
Many believe that the 2027 Kumbh will carry special spiritual weight as the previous edition in 2021 was limited due to the pandemic.
Preparations for an unforgettable Kumbh
Arrangements are already underway in Haridwar, with focus on:
-
smoother crowd movement,
-
cleaner and wider ghats,
-
around-the-clock health services,
-
safer accommodation for pilgrims,
-
and environmental protection to preserve the sanctity of the river.
Security and rescue teams, including police, NDRF and fire services, are preparing detailed coordination plans for the weeks-long event.
Saints welcome the planning
Acharyas representing the Akharas praised the early announcement of dates, saying it will help devotees—especially those travelling long distances from states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Bengal—to plan accommodations, travel bookings and group yatras.
Saints also emphasized that the essence of the Kumbh lies not in scale, but in faith, discipline, and the timeless bond between devotees and the holy river.
A special Kumbh for the next generation
With expectations of a record turnout, spiritual leaders are calling the upcoming Kumbh “a moment where faith and history meet on the banks of the Ganga”.
