Bodh Gaya: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bodh Gaya has launched its first Executive MBA (EMBA) programme with a campus orientation for the 2025–27 cohort, signaling a strategic expansion of its mission to develop mindful, socially responsible leaders among working professionals.
Director Prof. Vinita S. Sahay said the EMBA is designed as a future-ready programme that blends academic rigor with industry relevance, extending the institute’s core emphasis on ethical, impact-driven leadership to executives balancing work and study. She underscored that the programme aims to produce leaders who can drive meaningful outcomes for organizations and society in a rapidly shifting global economy.

The inaugural ceremony featured addresses by industry leaders Ninad Gadgil, CEO of Wendt India, and Siddharth Balakrishna, Senior Partner at BOD Consulting. Gadgil urged participants to define themselves by their work, habits, and impact rather than titles, while Balakrishna emphasized clarity and precision as levers for greater influence and results.
Programme Chair Prof. Manoj Kumar said the EMBA has been tailored to accelerate leadership journeys through holistic business learning, strategic perspectives, and rich peer-to-peer engagement. He noted that as Bharat emerges as the world’s fastest-growing major economy and now the fourth largest, developing visionary business leaders is both timely and essential.

The inaugural EMBA cohort brings together professionals with 3–21 years of experience from a broad spectrum of sectors and firms, including Deloitte, PwC, Accenture, Tata Consultancy Services, NTPC, Ultratech Cement, Godrej Properties, Warner Bros. Discovery, Apollo Tyres, Siemens Technologies, Indian Bank, Bank of Maharashtra, and Hilton. The orientation also drew active participation from students of IIM Bodh Gaya’s MBA, MBA in Digital Business Management, and MBA in Hospital & Healthcare Management programmes, fostering cross-learning and industry-academia collaboration.
With the EMBA rollout, IIM Bodh Gaya positions itself more deeply as a bridge between classrooms and boardrooms, expanding its portfolio of programs that prioritize responsible leadership, strategic agility, and real-world impact.
