Patna: Patna Police have registered an FIR against educator Khan Sir and others in connection with a reported clash outside coaching institutes in Musallahpur area on June 2. Police teams have been conducting search operations, while further investigation is underway.

Officials said the case includes charges under Section 109 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), related to attempt to murder, along with Sections 25(9), 27 and 35 of the Arms Act. According to police, the provisions invoked include non-bailable sections, though legal determination will rest with the court.

Police Search and FIR Status

Police said multiple teams visited the premises of Khan Global Studies but did not find Khan Sir at the location. Officials added that efforts are ongoing to trace him following the FIR registered on Friday.

Security was heightened outside the coaching centre after reports of tension, where a large number of students gathered during the police action. Authorities repeatedly appealed for dispersal, according to police statements.

Incident Details

The case relates to a reported dispute between Khan Global Studies Academy and Gyan Bindu Coaching Academy around 10:30 pm on June 2. The situation allegedly escalated into a physical confrontation, during which a security guard identified as Chunchun sustained head injuries, according to the complaint filed by Kanhaiya Prasad Singh, manager of Khan Global.

Following the complaint, police have arrested Roshan Anand, director of Gyan Bindu Coaching Academy, along with Abhishek and Gaurav in connection with the incident.

Video and Statements Under Investigation

Police are also examining a viral video in which two armed security personnel were seen firing shots during the incident. Investigators said Khan Sir confirmed during questioning that the individuals seen in the video were his personal security guards.

The guards, identified as Pradeep Kumar and Talebar Singh, were later questioned by police. In their statements, they claimed that a group had arrived outside the coaching centre and attacked the gate security guard, causing injuries and damage to property, according to police sources.

Legal Provisions Cited

Section 109 of the BNS deals with alleged attempt to murder cases where intent and action are examined based on evidence. If convicted, the offence may carry imprisonment of up to 10 years along with a fine.

Police officials said the Arms Act provisions included in the FIR relate to alleged use and discharge of firearms during the incident.

Next Steps in Investigation

Police said further action will depend on evidence collection and statements recorded during the investigation. Additional attempts to locate and question Khan Sir may be made as part of standard procedure, officials indicated. The investigation is ongoing.
