Sitamarhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed huge election rallies in Sitamarhi and Bettiah on Saturday, launching a strong attack on the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and its leaders. He said the RJD was trying to turn the youth of Bihar into criminals, while the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) was focused on giving them education, employment and opportunities. Modi said, “They give kids guns, we give them laptops,” adding that the NDA wanted young people to move forward with knowledge and not violence.
The Prime Minister alleged that RJD leaders only want power for themselves. “They want to make their own children ministers, MPs and MLAs, but they want to make your children gangsters,” he said. Modi also warned that Bihar should never return to the “jungle raj” days, which he described as a time of pistols, cruelty, corruption and hatred. Referring to a viral video showing a child making violent remarks, he said this reflected what the RJD wanted to teach Bihar’s young generation. “If you listen to their election songs and slogans, your soul will tremble,” he said.
Modi said Bihar no longer needs people who promote violence and fear. “There is no place for those who say ‘raise your hands’ in Bihar,” he declared. Instead, he said the state now needs youth with startup ideas and modern dreams. Giving a new slogan, he added, “We don’t want a katta government, we want an NDA government once again.” He urged people to continue supporting the NDA’s efforts to bring development, investment and peace to the state.
The Prime Minister also praised the people of Bihar for their strong participation in the first phase of voting on November 6. He congratulated the Election Commission for conducting peaceful polls and said the high turnout had given sleepless nights to the opposition. Modi has already held nearly a dozen rallies across Bihar, where he has repeatedly spoken about the NDA’s record of development. The second and final phase of the Bihar Assembly elections will be held on November 11, and the results will be announced on November 14.
