Patna: Thousands of Muslim devotees gathered at mosques and Eidgahs across the Maner Nagar Parishad area and nearby villages in Patna district on Thursday morning to offer congregational prayers on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, also known as Bakrid.
Religious sites across the region witnessed large gatherings from the early hours of the day. Prayers were conducted peacefully amid security arrangements made by the local administration.
Congregational Prayers Held at Major Religious Sites
In the Maner region, devotees offered prayers at several prominent religious locations, including the Badi and Chhoti Dargahs of Sufi Makhdoom Shah, Shah Ali Chak Eidgah, Shahi Mosque, Mir Ali Gauhar Mosque, Qazi Mohalla Mosque, and Jama Masjid.
Large numbers of worshippers also assembled in villages such as Sherpur, Byapur, Bank, Saray, Sadikpur, Dhakkanposh, Yahiyapur, Brahmachari, Bajitpur, and Singhara.
Prayers for Peace and Harmony
During the congregational prayers, devotees prayed for peace, communal harmony, and the progress of the nation. The celebrations were marked by an atmosphere of unity and religious goodwill across the region.
Residents exchanged Eid greetings after the prayers, with many embracing one another outside mosques and Eidgahs.
Security Arrangements Remain in Place
Police personnel and local administrative officials remained deployed at key prayer venues to maintain order and ensure smooth movement of crowds.
Officials said the prayers and related gatherings concluded peacefully, with no untoward incidents reported from the area.
Festive Observances Continue
Following the prayers, families returned to their homes to perform the ritual of Qurbani as part of Eid-ul-Adha observances. Festive activities continued throughout the day in both urban and rural parts of the district.
