Patna: Preparations are in full swing for the launch of the Muzaffarpur–Charlapalli Amrit Bharat Express, which is scheduled to be flagged off on September 28. The Railway Minister is expected to inaugurate the service, either in person from Muzaffarpur Junction or virtually through video conferencing.
The train was originally announced to run till Hyderabad but was later extended to Charlapalli, located about 100 km beyond Hyderabad, after receiving approval from the Railway Board.
Preparations at Muzaffarpur Junction
On Friday, Divisional Engineer (DEN-3) of Samastipur Railway Division visited Muzaffarpur Junction on the instructions of DRM Jyoti Prakash Mishra. He held a meeting with IOW Rajiv Ranjan, station area officer Ravi Shankar Mahato, and RPF Inspector Manish Kumar to review arrangements for the flag-off ceremony.
Official Notification Issued
A formal letter from the Northern Railway Headquarters, Baroda House, New Delhi, has confirmed the introduction of the 15293/15294 Amrit Bharat Express service.
- Train No. 15293 Muzaffarpur–Charlapalli Amrit Bharat Express will connect north Bihar to Telangana.
- Train No. 15294 Charlapalli–Muzaffarpur Amrit Bharat Express will depart at 5:00 pm from Charlapalli.
Route Details
The new express train will travel via Hajipur, Sonpur, Pataliputra, Danapur, Ara, Buxar, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, Prayagraj Chheoki, Itarsi, Pipariya, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Nagpur, Balharshah, Sirpur, Kagaznagar, Bellampalli, and Ramagundam before reaching Charlapalli.
Railway officials said the new train service will significantly improve long-distance connectivity between Bihar and southern states, benefiting thousands of passengers traveling for work, education, and business.
