West Champaran: JD(U) youth leader Nishant Kumar received a warm and enthusiastic welcome during his visit to Valmiki Nagar as part of his ongoing ‘Sadbhav Yatra’. Arriving late on Sunday night in Laxmipur, he was greeted by members of the Tharu tribal community and local villagers. The welcome included a traditional ‘Jhamta’ dance performance, reflecting the region’s rich cultural heritage. His convoy later reached the Valmiki Auditorium Convention Center, where supporters gathered in large numbers to catch a glimpse of him.
On Monday morning, Kumar headed into the forests of the Valmiki Tiger Reserve for a jungle safari. During the visit, he enjoyed the natural beauty of the reserve and spotted several animals, including deer, wild boars, peacocks and bears. The safari highlighted the biodiversity of the area and added a relaxed moment to his otherwise busy schedule. Local officials and supporters accompanied him during the visit, while security arrangements remained tight throughout the area.
After returning from the jungle safari, Kumar interacted with villagers, party workers and local representatives, thanking them for their support and warm reception. He paid tribute to Maharishi Valmiki by offering flowers at his statue within the auditorium complex. His visit also included a stop at the Mahakaleshwar Temple, where he offered prayers and sought blessings. Bihar minister Shravan Kumar was present during the temple visit along with several other leaders and officials.
The visit drew large crowds from nearby villages, with many people expressing hope that Nishant Kumar will soon take on a more active political role. Supporters raised slogans in his favour and also praised his father, Nitish Kumar. Police were deployed across key locations under strict security arrangements to manage the crowd. With growing public interest and visible support, Kumar’s visit has added to the discussion about his possible future in Bihar politics.
