Patna: The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Patna has recorded a strong performance in its 2026 placement season, with 550 students securing job offers out of 653 registered candidates.
According to institute data, the highest annual package offered this year is Rs 41.37 lakh. The offer was made by semiconductor company Texas Instruments to Shraddha Jha, a final-semester student from the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) department.
The achievement highlights the institute’s continued success in attracting leading recruiters and reflects the technical capabilities of its students.
Shraddha Jha Receives Highest Offer
Shraddha Jha, an eighth-semester CSE student, emerged as the top performer in this year’s placement session after securing an annual package of Rs 41.37 lakh from Texas Instruments.
The package matches the highest offer recorded by the institute during the previous placement cycle, indicating sustained recruiter interest in NIT Patna graduates.
Leading Technology Firms Participate
Several major technology companies participated in the placement drive and recruited students across disciplines.
Software company Atlassian offered a package of Rs 34.28 lakh to a student, while ride-hailing and technology firm Uber extended an offer worth Rs 38.66 lakh.
The participation of these companies reflects growing industry confidence in the institute’s talent pool and academic standards.
Average Package Reaches Rs 10.9 Lakh
NIT Patna said the average annual package secured by students during the ongoing placement season stands at Rs 10.9 lakh.
Institute officials view the figure as a positive indicator of employment opportunities available to students across different sectors. The placement outcomes also underline the increasing demand for graduates from technical institutions in Bihar.
